Unless you master the virtual analog sticks, never switch off the Aim Assist. This life-saving feature automatically (and more often than not) causes your gun to snap to the nearest target, giving you a much greater chance of scoring head shots during the single-player mode. The best strategy for attack is to press the targeting icon to aim down the iron sights, kill the selected baddie, press the button to return to normal view and then immediately tap it again to "snap" to the next available target.
